Development has resumed
After a short break, I can finally work actively on RoadBoard again.
During the past few weeks, development was heavily limited due to technical issues. I now have the necessary hardware and performance available again, which means development of RoadBoard has officially resumed.
And there is already some good news: RoadBoard 1.0.1 is almost ready.
The focus of Version 1.0.1
Version 1.0 was a major milestone for RoadBoard. At the same time, the release and feedback from the community revealed several issues that now have the highest priority.
Because of this, version 1.0.1 will mainly be a major stability and bugfix update.
The update will focus on:
- Fixing the biggest known bugs
- Fixing common crashes and their causes
- Improving overall stability
- Resolving issues with existing features
- Improving background systems to make RoadBoard more reliable
The goal of 1.0.1 is not to add as many new features as possible. The priority is to make the existing foundation significantly more stable first.
A better foundation for future updates
RoadBoard is intended to continue growing in the future. Before larger features and new ideas are introduced, it is important to make sure the current version works as reliably as possible.
That is exactly what version 1.0.1 is designed to achieve.
Bug reports and crash reports submitted by the community are helping identify the most important issues and improve the areas that need the most attention. Thank you to everyone who continues to report bugs and provide feedback.
What comes next?
After version 1.0.1, development can shift more heavily toward new features and the upcoming RoadBoard roadmap.
For now, however, the highest priority is making RoadBoard 1.0 more stable, reliable and enjoyable to use.
